Elementary Reconfiguration: Planning for Fall 2027

Elementary Reconfiguration: Planning for Fall 2027

Thank you for your patience, support, and understanding as we move forward with planning for our elementary school reconfiguration.
At the September Board meeting, the School Board voted to transition to a K–2/3–5 configuration beginning next school year (2027-2028):

• Veneta Elementary will serve all kindergarten through 2nd grade students.
• Elmira Elementary will serve all 3rd through 5th grade students.

While much work has already been completed, more detailed planning is now beginning. We recognize that this transition brings questions, and we are committed to keeping families informed and providing opportunities for participation throughout the process.

We invite families to join a range of subcommittees to provide input, share questions, and help plan next steps. Please look for the Google sign-up form that will be available by November 5th.

The district will utilize ParentSquare and the Elementary Reconfiguration: Planning for Fall 2027 page as a central source for sharing updates, information, and opportunities to get involved. Please visit regularly throughout the 2026–27 school year for the most up-to-date information.

Thank you for your continued partnership as we work together to support our students, families, and staff through this transition.
