K-2 / 3-5 Sub-committees
Volunteers Needed!
FRSD is inviting families and staff to help shape the transition to K–2 and 3–5 schools by participating in one of the subcommittees listed below. Your ideas, questions, and perspectives will help us plan thoughtfully and support students, families, and staff throughout this process. Each committee will gather input, identify needs, recommend solutions, and develop draft plans for moving forward.
The interest form will be open to staff and families Nov. 3–12, and applicants will be notified of committee selections by Nov. 13. Our goal is to create balanced groups that include both staff and family perspectives. First committee meetings will take place November 16–24, with meetings scheduled from 3:00–4:00 p.m. via Zoom. Please make sure you can attend your committee’s first meeting if you are interested in participating (these are listed on the form) as well. The district recognizes that this time may be challenging for working families and staff with after-school responsibilities. Following the first meeting, each committee will determine how many additional meetings are needed and select follow-up meeting times that work best for the group.
Subcommittee updates will be made available on the FRSD website so everyone can stay informed. Committees will also share their work at planning workshops, providing opportunities for continued input and collaboration.
